Grammy Award winners Marty Stuart, Dr. Ralph Stanley and  
Del McCoury Band headline 40th Anniversary Celebration  
Bill Monroe Bean Blossom Bluegrass Festival June 10-17, 
2006 
 
The oldest, continuous running bluegrass festival in the 
world- the Bill Monroe Bean Blossom Bluegrass Festival will 
celebrate its’ 40th Anniversary over eight days June 10-17, 
2006 with an all-star lineup featuring over 45 bands, 
including: Marty Stuart, Dr. Ralph Stanley, Del McCoury 
Band, The Grascals, Cherryholmes and more! The festival and 
events take place at The Mecca of Bluegrass, the historical 
Bill Monroe Music Park & Campground, in Bean Blossom, IN.

Blue Grass Boy Reunion – Saturday, June 10th: Wayne Lewis 
heads up this great reunion of former Blue Grass Boys, 
including: Del McCoury, Eddie Adcock, James Monroe, Roger 
Smith, Dwight Dillman, Butch Robbins and more! The reunion 
will pay tribute to the Father of Bluegrass, Bill Monroe  
 
All the way from Japan, the Bluegrass 45 will celebrate 
their 35th Anniversary Reunion on Saturday, June 17th at 
the very place that started their 1971 US Tour- Bean 
Blossom.  
 
Jimmy Martin Tribute Show - Saturday, June 17th:  
Featuring former Sunny Mountain Boys (Bobby Osborne, J.D. 
Crowe, Paul Williams, Dwight Dillman, Derek Dillman and 
more.) This all-star line-up will pay tribute to the King 
of Bluegrass. Also performing are Dr. Ralph Stanley and 
Marty Stuart.  
 
Bring your instruments and “jam with the stars” at the Bill 
Monroe Sunset Jam on Friday, June 16th. You won’t want to 
miss this annual Bean Blossom tradition, created by Bill 
Monroe.

New this year - Youth Bluegrass Boot Camp Tuesday-Thursday, 
June 13-15. Interested youth ages 6-18 yrs of age will be 
allowed to sign up for the fun but structured music camp 
consisting of 15 hours of hands on instruction (Banjo, 
mandolin, fiddle, guitar and bass) covering topics such as: 
basic instrument care and handling, vocals and harmonies, 
stage presence and working with microphones, songwriting, 
jam etiquette. Advance pricing:$30 per youth; Two or more 
youth in one family; $25 each.
